A Rooftops Summer

This song reminds me of the summer of 2010. It was one of the best summers of my life, if not the best. I remember driving around with friends, this song would be blasting. I still don't know how I drove so far with the E light on. Cheers to memories we'll never forget.

Sainthood Reps

This song is so damn catchy.

We Own the Sky

I have never been a fan of Vevo. It seems to be shitty adds in as much as a video as possible. The video for this song which wast posted on the Vevo channel may be my only exception. This song is just so nurturing. The sound it conveys to the ears is one that cannot be re-created. It makes me want to appreciate everything I have so much more than I already do. Listen to it, maybe you'll feel something too.

Movember

This was not a hard find. I simply went on youtube and saw this video right on the home page. It's not new music, all it is is guys growing out their moustaches to raise money to help fight prostate cancer. I thought it was creative. If you can grow facial hair, there are no excuses for why you shouldn't take part in this. With that being said; fuck cancer.

Joy Division - Disorder

Joy Division sure as hell never gets old.

Deer Tick - Main Street

Most of you may or should know that Deer Tick is an indie-folk band from Providence, RI. I posted one of their new songs "Miss K" a few weeks ago. In the middle of October the band performed on the David Letterman show for the second time. This video just goes to show how raw and great they sound live. Many other bands go into the studio and get the best sound they can, but they unfortunately can not match it live. On Deer Tick's newest album entitled "Divine Providence" they went almost the opposite way. They made it so that their recordings matched their live sound. They wanted people to feel that raw sound they have live on their recordings also. If you were to ask me I'd say they did a damn good job.

'Terra Incognita'

I don't remember how I came across Atlas Sound, but I'm almost positive that it was in the myspace days. All I remember is hearing a couple songs and thinking "shit that was good". Atlas Sound is a solo project by Bradford Cox, some of you may know him from the band Deerhunter, which is also a great band. Atlas Sound is releasing a new album around November 8th entitled Parallax. So far I am very Impressed with the songs that I have heard off of it. They are very peaceful and have just the perfect amount of reverb on everything. If you like indie, don't let your ears skip out on this one.

Divine Providence

For those of you who don't know, Deer Tick is a band from the good old capital of RI. They are fronted by the singer/song writer/guitarist who goes by the name of John McCauley. They have a unique folk style and McCauley's jaws crank out a raspy vocal style that really reminds me of Bob Dylan. Their new album "Divine Providence" drops on October 25th. Be sure to check out Providences finest.

Avalanche Untitled

If any of you havn't noticed yet, I really switch through genres. I really like to explore all different artists and find out what is going on with their music. I Am The Avelanche almost has a sound similar to A Loss For Words and guess what?! Their new album drops on October 11th. Show these guys some support and give them a listen.

Music is like a thrift store

I'm not too sure about the history of these guys, all I know is that the vibe of this song is really fitting for this day. Maybe it's from all the drugs I'm doped up on after getting my wisdom teeth pulled, who knows. I don't know how old this song is, but it's laid back and new to me. Listen for yourselves.
